Eli: Man, we serve a big God! He can do anything. We’re talking about the God who stopped the sun! I’ve seen some cool stuff—like my friend pulling off a kickflip down six stairs—but God? He’s the real deal. When we see something amazing, we give a high five, right? But when it comes to God, I say we give Him ten!
Eli: God, You’re so big. You’re mighty. You’ve done so much in our lives, and we thank You for it!
Jesus: Hello, Eli. I heard you were talking about Me.
Eli: Yeah! We were just saying how awesome You are—like how You made the sun stand still for Joshua!
Jesus: That’s one of My favorites. That’s why I put it in the Bible.
Eli: It’s incredible! But, no offense, we don’t see stuff like that anymore.
Jesus: Don’t we? Maybe you’re not looking closely enough.
Eli: Next time I’m at the lake, I’m gonna wave my fishing pole and see if the water splits in two!
Jesus: You don’t really need that right now, do you?
Eli: Okay, then maybe I’ll march around a building and see if the walls fall down like Jericho!
Jesus: Big miracles still happen. But remember, I give people what they need.
Sister Grace: Hey, Eli! I got an extra sandwich. They were buy one, get one free. Want it?
Eli: Really? Sure, thanks, Sister Grace! You’re the best.
Eli: That’s good. Okay, Jesus, now show me a miracle!
Jesus: Didn’t you just say you were hungry? And now you have food?
Eli: Yeah, but that’s just a coincidence.
Lydia: Hey, Eli, you dropped your dollar!
Eli: Oh, thank you! I didn’t even notice.
Lydia: No problem. You’re honest, Eli. Here—keep it. That was really kind of you.
Eli: Thanks. Okay, Jesus, now a real miracle.
Jesus: You were hungry, and someone brought you food. You found money and chose honesty. Maybe the miracles aren’t the problem. Maybe noticing them is.
Eli: You’re right. God’s done a lot for me—big and small. I woke up this morning with air in my lungs, a roof over my head, and a church to come to. I’ve seen big miracles too—people healed, lives changed—but I guess sometimes I overlook the little ones.
Jesus: Every breath, every sunrise, every moment of peace is a miracle. Big or small, they all come from Me.
Eli: Yeah… sometimes we call them coincidences, but really, it’s You. Even stopping at a red light that keeps us safe, or getting a job right when we need it—that’s You working.
Jesus: Exactly. I’m the same God who stopped the sun, brought down walls, and parted seas—but I’m also the One who makes the sun rise every morning.
Eli: So, the God of big and small miracles.
Jesus: That’s right.
Eli: Well then, I think it’s time I start giving You ten for everything—big or small.
Jesus: “Unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think.”Eli: Because our God is so big!
