Balloon Twisting

Balloon twisting is one of the BEST ways to get kids excited about Sunday School, to keep them entertained on long bus rides and is an amazing outreach tool.

I love to knock on doors and after inviting them to Sunday School I say in a loud enough voice for EVERYONE in the house to hear, “We are also making FREE balloon animals today if there are any kids here that would like one!”  The response is amazing.  First, it is difficult to turn down free and secondly every kid in earshot will RUN to door and demand a balloon.  I then will make the balloons nice and slow and will be telling them all, “We do this EVERY Sunday in Sunday School.  We also have fun, games, stories, songs…. etc etc etc”.  By the time I am done, usually the kids are begging to go.  It is INCREDIBLY effective.

You will find here several different balloons that we use that range from Easy up to somewhat Advanced.  We have found that these balloons appeal to the widest range of audiences and are for the most part simple to make.

If you want only to learn the bare minimum, practice making the TURTLE and the SWORD.  They are incredibly simple to make and kids LOVE them.

If you are just beginning, check out the Tips & Techniques video before going much further.  After that buy a big bag of balloons, a quality pump and GET STARTED!  Make 50 or so at home and you will have no problem doing it live.
